The venue

The medieval castle, close to the town of Greve in Chianti, is 16 km from Florence, surrounded by woodland and olive-groves, and dominates an unspoiled valley, that was once one of the accesses to Florence. The tall stone tower and the high walls date back to the 10th century, while the main body of the castle, the loggias, the courtyard and the gardens are 13th century. The private chapel was added in the 17th century.

The venue offers all comforts for weddings and ceremonies (up to 200 people seated for dinner, both inside in the saloons, as well as outside in the courtyard or in the garden).

The Castle is a “Residenza d’Epoca” (historic venue) open all year and can accommodate up to 25 people. In the tower and a wing of the castle are situated eight spacious, light-filled rooms sleeping 2 to 4 persons, some rooms having an adjacent living room. The tower has a lift. All of the rooms are tastefully refurbished, fully serviced and panoramic.

Guests can enjoy the grounds of the castle and the private swimming pool picturesquely situated in the midst of olive trees.
In the castle guests have at their disposal a large fully-equipped kitchen and a characteristic dining room featuring a big fireplace.
